| Dr. Dominic Chan, BSc, DC |
Dr. Chan has been helping people around
Commercial Drive and East Vancouver walk away from pain and discomfort for several years now. His clinic in the EastVan Medical
center is conveniently located just steps from the transit hub of Broadway and Commercial Drive. He has seen people from all
walks of life but they all have a common need; to feel better. Understanding this, Dr. Chan believes in patient centered care.
In Dr. Chan's clinic, the patient chooses the treatment plan, participates in "home care" and is never "rushed"
through an appointment. Dr. Chan was raised in
the Lower Mainland, attending high school in Richmond and then going on to attend the University of British Columbia. Early
on in his education, he gravitated towards science and it's effects on health. However, believing that one's optimal
well being could be achieved by maintaining a healthy lifestyle, including exercise, Chiropractic was a natural fit.
After graduating from the University of British
Columbia, Dr. Chan decided to move to the U.S. to pursue his chiropractic education. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic
College in Portland, Oregon and eventually decided to return to beautiful Vancouver and particularly, the Commercial Drive
area.
Through his training and experience,
Dr. Chan has come to realize that there are natural options to achieving health and relieving pain that don't involve drugs.
Dr. Chan has had the privilege of working with many patients who have never tried Chiropractic before. Through a thorough
history and exam, he has taught patients the true cause of their pain and discomfort. Understanding how the body works and
functions, patients become empowered to improve and maintain their health through the course of treatment.
Dr. Chan leads the active lifestyle that he promotes to all
of his patients. He regularly participates in sports such as volleyball, basketball, swimming and running. He has also competed
in several races including, half-marathons and triathlons.

"I
had been having severe back pain after moving some boxes. So much so that sitting for more than 5 minutes was difficult. My
doctor recommended some x-rays but after they came back negative, he said there was 'nothing wrong' and prescribed me some
pain killers. Not satisfied with my situation, a friend suggested I see Dr. Chan for Chiropractic care. I'll admit I was very
nervous. But after the initial visit I thought, 'I don't have much to lose'. It was quite soon when I started to feel relief
and working with Dr. Chan has taught me how to keep my back healthy and pain free!" - Annie B.
